Patch Won't Take...

G'day
A strange problem - hope someone can help. I bought the Australian version of the game, installed it and it plays fine. I d/l'd the Aussie patch from Auran, but when I try to run it, it fails. At first it said the target file was corrupt. I uninstalled ERT, then reinstalled and repeated. This time with the patch I got messages about not finding compressed sound files and some other stuff - I got about half a dozen error messages.
Afterwards, Enigma desktop shortcut can't find the .exe file. When I checked in the game directory - no .exe file!
Anyone advise what might be going on? I have downloaded the patch again, but I am reluctant to run it without checking in here, because I have now reinstalled 3 times! Helllp please!
By the way - sank my first sub in one of the training missions - a satisfying feeling playing depth charge cat and mouse and hearing a big boom as I landed one right on the submerged tin can!

Try checking your disk for errors.

Delete the game and reinstall dont bother to install the patch.I have had no real problems with the original version other than the usual pre patch crashes that the USA version has had.If you have any other dramas contact by email at paulb6@bigpond.com I am on the Gold Coast.

Well its not the patch as I have downloaded and installed it and it worked 100%
Whats your dl connection? on 56k you will get corrupt files on occassion.
Or maybe the patch on the site has become corrupt?
Either way as stated above, if I was having trouble with it I wouldnt worry too much, and wait for the new patch
as its not too far off now.

Hmmm, Optus cable - fast fast fast!
I might try unzipping using rar instead of winzip and try the new patch I dowloaded...

LOL i have cable too dowloaded patch in less then 5 mins, but unfortunately i do not have win zip or win rar,,, sigh,, Maybe when the official patch is realeased it will self install...........
