I have been looking over the site and asking members whom are admins about the site. As such most people when asked where something is or who someone is they say speak to Tbar.

 

Thats not what a site is for.

 

I was seeking the fantasy marshal but in the battlestations its a dead link. So I have no idea whom it would be, although at one point someone told me there aint one.

 

So I have a large amount of site suggestions for optimization and user friendliness increasing. However rather then blast you all with a thousand ideas I thought it might be best to go one at a time. Starting with the biggest one.

 

You need a command roster.

 

I know the heads of groups are in there sub page but you need a centralized roster easily accessible on the front page.

 

I am not saying put every recruit on there, unless you want to of course, but instead put the command staffs. The following is an example, it may not apply to you but its a concept.

 

(Command Staff)

ToW Command Staff

- Club Owner: Club Owner, usually but not always head of the club.

- Executive Officer: Second in command

- Internet Officer: The person who handles site maintence and infrastructure.

- Security Officer: The person who handles club and site security.

 

(Division Staff)

Air: Marshall of

- IL 2: Head of Division

- War Thunder: Head of Division

-- Air Assassins Inc: Head of Squad

-- Black Sheep Squadron: Head of Squad

Army: Marshall of

- Arma 2: Head of Division

- Cod: Head of Division

Navy: Marshall of

- Naval Action: Head of Division

- Navy Field: Head of Division

Space: Marshall of

- Elite: Head of Division

- Star Trek Online: Head of Division

Fantasy: Marshall of

- Dota: Head of Division

- Runescape: Head of Division

Also not meaning to nitpick, but Star Wars Old Republic, Mech Warrior, Planetside, Defiance, and Firefall are Space not Fantasy.

 

Now besides this making it easier for new members to know who there supposed to report to, it also makes it easier for instance if there needs to be a legal matter it shows who to contact, IE club owner.

I personally can agree to some sort of change concerning a command roster; however a lot of the ToW Club and community want to be left be, even some ToW club members which is fine. For the members, in game leaders, and community leaders that want to take more of a front seat, high speed, with lots of moving parts(in comparison to now) i recommend setting up a "Command Help Line" where members that volunteer themselves to be in these postitions; however even if they volunteer themselves they shouldnt be put on the list. It should be a two way street they must volunteer themselves and the current community leadership needs to say yes for them to be on the list.

 

Once on the list if that person has some sort of position in the community or a game in another column next to their name it could be a "Position" line. For example.

Name                Position          Contact methods

ToW Raver                FLH President               EMAIL, FB INFO?, ETC

 

The postition could be an in game postion like "Major in Firefall" or community based like "ToW Club President" , "FLH Member", "ToW Club Member"  one person may even have more than one position.

 

I am pro having a system like this but anyones name on the list should

1.) They volunteer themselves to be on the list.

2.) ToW Club/ Community leaders accept them to be on the list.

3.) Members on the list can ask to be taken off  the list at any time.

 

 

Also i recommend that a list of this nature(if it existed) should be on both the website and Teamspeak.

We are in the process of .. simplification. Actually all that was looked for.. or asked for.. does exist, problem currently is where to find it... its not really clear.
