Over the last two weeks I've written ENIGMA Ripper. ENIGMA Ripper is a GUI file extractor for ENIGMA Rising Tide. It will enable you to extract all game files from the game's packed .EZV files. It will also repack .EZV files. Program works with ENIGMA Rising Tide Chapter 1 (The Raid On Scapa Flow). East has kindly approved this release. Thank you sir!

Any and all game modifications are available by using this program. Reskinning ships, change ship camo, the program interface, music, alter the sea colors, fog, everything.

BEWARE. ENIGMA Ripper is a game hacking program. Game files are overwritten. You must assume all responsibility for what you change or by running it.

HOWEVER. I've already been designing my own flags, playing with the ocean colors and waves, made some changes to the interface. Next is skinning ships or camo. You can too.

GET THE PROGRAM HERE

ENIGMA Ripper web site

INSTALLING ENIGMA RIPPER

Unzip the downloaded file and click on the setup.exe to install. Be sure to install on the same hard drive as ERT.

USING ENIGMA RIPPER

See the comprehensive readme.txt I wrote.

I hope you have fun with it and we generate a little more life in the old sea dog till Sink the Hood comes out.

Maybe this will start things off.

I've made a set of four hi-res faction flags. They are available on the web site.

TT, I'm intersted in just changing a ship number at this point. Can I do that? Downloaded and everything seemed to load good but not quite sure where to go from here.

May try to match the camoflage of a certain ship as well.

Thanks,

Mitch

Yeah, I would like to do that too. The ship numbers are in the skins\decals folder. Not sure how they are used yet.

There's a ton of camo textures in the textures\camo folder. Ther's also a few in skins\ships. Extract all the game files, then have a look around. One of us hopefully will figure it out.

The Numbers are drawn on a texture by a function - they are generated by the application when the ship is created.
