😵

After trying the numerous suggestions posted on the forums, I am dumfounded. After playing the demos from the start, I purchased a copy of the GMX Europeon ERT just to play...new patches came out for it and the game crashed at random intervals. OK Said screw it and went and purchased the US version today(I am from NY..so I figured I ought to have the US version). Same problem. I usually start by playing the USN Surgface Campaign #1. Game crashes at random intervals. I have run the Direct X 9 diagnostics as is mentioned MANY times on this forum. I am currently running the following specs. Any help would be appreciated.

Abit KT7-A RAID board

AMD Thunderbird 1.4

896 MB SDRAM PC133

Soundblaster Card

(4) 250 GB Western Digital Hard Drives

Sony DRU-530A DVD-RW

Cenedyne CD-RW

If you need any further information please let me know. I have a theory it may be attributed to the ATA-100 Highpoint RAID system. IF you have any known bugs please let me know.

are you or Windows in control over your pagefile?

You should try set it to manual control with current and max size at 1024 megabytes.

Jesper,

Windows has set a default pagefile of 1344 MB. Should step it down?

1024 is plenty page space when you have 900MB RAM.

did you try lower the sound hardware acceleration?

Click: Start->Run

Type: dxdiag

Click: OK

In the dx window click on the sound tab and then move the acceleration leveler to basic or none.

Click: Exit

Start: E:RT, and now hopefully enjoy it :)

Well, did the reformat of XP. Tried to install ERT and got an error message saying the installer ran into a problem and needed to close. So I deleted the DreamCatcher folder from the program files and reinstalled. I will keep you updated.

This is starting to p--- me off.

Jesper...I checked the IRQ interupt like you suggested in another post..for some reason all the cards in my computer have the same IRQ #

I guess I am asking how to change the IRQ #'s without moving the cards...for some reason all my cards are in different IRQ slots and have the same IRQ..any ideas on how to change them.
