The only time speed increases is when I click a waypoint .

There was something in manual explaining that it would head for that by shortest route and reach as soon as possible , thus I was never surprised it did that .

(In the part where setting successive waypoints is explained .)

I suppose I would prefer waypoints not to effect my speed. It doesn't trouble me but it would help when staying silent and using the tactical map to manoeuvre.

you can set a heading using the compass - it maintains current speed settings...click on the inside of the compass and the ship will come to that heading. Right click on the inside of the compass and it will hold heading.

East, Im not sure you addressed the actual issue. If a commander gives the order to "PIVOT PORT", or "HARD TO PORT"...

Should that automatically be assumed to mean "HARD TO PORT & STOP SILENT RUNNING ON 1/3, CHANGE TO 2/3 AHEAD"?

However, your advice on left clicking, or right clicking in the compass is talking about holding a heading.. and maintaining speed.. is all about doing it manually.

Tomski and myself are wondering what you think about the lack of an equal voice command to turn & to maintain speed.. would this be something you overlooked and may possibly fix, or is this intentional due to the way subs work? How about ships?

Hard to Port = maintain current speed and hard over the rudder.

Pivot Port = spool down the shafts, split the direction and throttle back up to last speed.

Voice command for turn to and maintain speed = "Set Heading 3 1 0 degrees" or "set rudder 2 0 degrees port"

I havent trained my voice commands yet, so ill try that....but....

I get alot of the following: (gold version)

I orde hard to satrboard...i then hear "aye sir, har to starboard" about 15 times until i can sneak a new order in there.

I order "ahead flank"...the crew mans the AA guns.

Worst of all, in the sub, it often decides to crash dive at the most terrible times...liek when im sneaking up on a big ol' boat. Sheesh.

Ill se if the voice trainign fixes this. Im assuming we are referring to the voice traingin in my Windows control panel...I dint know if that would/would nopt effect this....

Thats definatly lack of training or your accent sounds like russian mixed with german, indian and japanese

and yeah its right there in control panel->speech.

it can also be out of date sound drivers or your audio hardware acceleration is set too high. Remember to use the 'v' key to keep the speech buffer under control (it toggles voice recognition).

Just trained it...lets see how it does. will report back. leaving port.

Ill have to play with the settings some more. I trained the system, opened the game in a sub mission...and before i spoke aword ..."crash dive, aye aye, sir"....like 6 times.

...My system suggests i have the best possible drivers installed for audio. As for acceleration, i am unaware of how to adjust that....
