I had forgotten that moon, there are so many nowadays . But of course Tridents I am familar with , Britannia has one , and there are about 5 or 6 currently on patrol in the deep. Well ,, at least one is ..the others are in dock ..

OK - Some people asked "what exactly does it mean when the crew member yells out 'red 45 torpedo bearing 225'?"

Currently there is a bug in the game where the red and green lights on the front of the ships (those that have them) are reversed.. and not only that, the crew's responses are also reversed!

Therefore when your crew yells out the incoming torpedoes, the color code will match this graphic.. After TAG fixes this bug, I can edit this screenshot and reverse the colors. (hopefully the crew voice responses will be edited too).

The first number following one of the color codes, is the number of degrees either to left or right from the bow of the ship, and those numbers are in black around the arch of the circle..

The second number following the word bearing, is the bearing of the torpedo on the world compass... where "west" is always 270, and "north" is always zero or 360, "south" is always 180 and "East" is always 90 degrees.

Being new to things Enigma, I can think of no one more in need of Illustrations For Beginning Ship Tactics. Unfortunately, my ignorance goes beyound the sea...I'm unable to view the illustrations. I searched under IBP Images and the Help menu. I either missed or mis-read any clue. How do I view the illustrations? I get the box and the little colorful icon. Is there a forum option or do I need make some adjustment on my end?

LOL, I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here.

When an image is hosted online, you can embed it in a topic, but when the image is no longer hosted, a placeholder is shown to signify that it's not loading. That placeholer is a red x. If you browse the web regularly, you'll see them quite often. The fact that "IPB" appears with it, is beacuse the server hosting it, IPB, has that as its default "alt text" (The text that would appear when you hover over an image)

Considering the fact that this topic is 2 years old, there's no surprise that the images are no longer online. If Maxim sees this, maybe he can reupload them elsewhere, but that's up to him. There's no fault on your end. You just weren't aware.
