No. 616 (South Yorkshire) Squadron, AuxAF first formed on 1st Novemeber 1938 in Doncaster.

Motto: "Nulla Rosa Sine Spina" - No rose without a thorn.

This virtual squadron is forming on 1st Novemeer 2011, 73 years to the day from the original squadron. They play the flight sim IL2:Cliffs of Dover.
